_I hand make two types of Rhythm Beads:
The first type, for $15.00 plus $5.00 for S/H, have 4 bells (2 on each side) and a pendant in the middle.
The second type, for $10.00 plus $5.00 for S/H, have five bells, two on each side and one in the middle.
I can make them any color and design and you have the choice of silver, gold, or rustic brown bells.
Matching Mane clips are $3.00 each with free shipping with the purchase of rhythm beads.
2 Strand Mane Clips are $4.00 each.
Feather Mane Clips are $5.00 each.
Usually the beads are just One Size Fits Most, but if your horse is particular large or small, or if you want the beads to be for a pony or mini you'll just need to measure him for me so I know what length to make them.
Beads made for minis and small ponies will be a bit cheaper of course.
Rhythm Beads make great gifts and are a real crowd pleaser at parades, etc.
I also like having my horses wear their beads when I'm doing holiday photo shoots and things like that.
About Rhythm Beads:
Although rhythm beads are eye-catching and it's fun to wear pretty necklaces on your horse, there's more to them than that. The history behind them is what really makes them special. The idea for rhythm beads originally came from Native Americans. They would decorate their horses with beads, feathers, and shells, believing that they held good medicine and would protect them in times of danger, as well as help horse and rider move as one.
Rhythm beads are still useful now as well. Not only can they be custom made to match any color tack and to fit you and your horse's unique style, rhythm beads can also be helpful to both horse and rider. Rhythm beads are known to have a calming effect on horses. The gentle jingle of the bells provide a soft cadence, leading to more consistent gaits and a smoother ride. When trail riding the bells make just enough noise to alert nearby animals that you are coming, helping to eliminate tense horses and spooks.
If you can't decide on what color to choose, something to keep in mind is the believed meaning each color has.
Please note: I have many more colors available than these, this is just a sampling of the meanings behind some of the most popular choices.
